Reiki and BodyTalk are excellent tools for both the animal and the animal caregiver to manage an animals transition or manage grief around an animals transition. It is often challenging for the animal caregiver to know what is happening within an animal and challenging to know when an animal is ready to transition and feels comfortable leaving the caregiver.
Reiki provides a safe and healing space for both the animal and the caregiver and can be used at anytime during the transition processes. When the animals becomes sick or shows signs of deterioration due to age, during the transition process itself and post transition to work with the caregiver through the process.
BodyTalk also provides an excellent tool for the animal working through the transition and working through the process of giving themselves permission to transition. As well it is a helpful modality for the caregiver working through the grief process of losing a beloved pet. It does not inhibit the grief process itself but ensure that the grief moves through the body as it should so it does not become stuck or entangled with the body making it challenging for the caregiver to process and move through the grief cycle.
While sessions can be done remotely I recommend in person sessions for both Reiki and BodyTalk as there is something special about connecting with people and animals during the transition process. Due to the sensitive nature of the transition process and the uncertainty of where animals are in the transition process, I recommend coming to your location for the sessions.
If you are not local to Regina, BodyTalk can be done remotely and will provide the same benefits as an in person session.
